YEREVAN. – The US national currency’s exchange rate is dropping in Armenia’s financial market and, in all probability, this is a result of the signals coming from international markets.  

The American dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 406/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Wednesday, and this is a 0.25-percent—or a one-point—fall from the previous trading session on Tuesday.

Wednesday’s sales totaled $2.1 million at the stock exchange. The dollar was offered at AMD 405.99/$1, at the end of the trading session, and this is sign for the currency’s future weakening.    

The dollar’s buying exchange rate dropped all the way to AMD 404/$1, in Armenia’s cash foreign currency market and as compared with Tuesday’s AMD 405/$1, and it is sold even at AMD 406/$1.
