YEREVAN. – The US national currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 408/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Tuesday. As it was predicted on Monday, the dollar has devalued as the aforesaid exchange rate is a 0.24-percent—or an AMD 1—drop from the previous trading session on Monday.

Tuesday’s sales totaled a $2.36 million at the stock exchange.

But the dollar’s exchange rate did not reduce significantly in Armenia’s cash foreign currency market, and this means the banks do not expect the dram to strengthen. The exchange offices buy and sell the US national currency at the AMD 406-410/$1 range.
