YEREVAN. – The American national currency continues its “triumphant campaign” in the financial market of Armenia.

The dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 411.42/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Monday; this is a 0.18-percent rise from the previous trading session on March 1.

Monday’s dollar sales totaled an unprecedented high of $16 million at the stock exchange. In all likelihood, the Central Bank of Armenia conducted a US national currency intervention.

At the cash foreign currency market of Armenia, the dollar’s buying and selling exchange rates stabilized at the AMD 409-412/$1 range.
