YEREVAN. – Armenian leadership made a statement saying Yerevan plans to join Customs Union and will not sign documents with EU, CSTO chief Nikolay Bordyuzha said during the Monday space bridge.
Bordyuzha’s comments came in response to a question about further interaction with Armenia in case if the Association Agreement with EU is any way ratified.
As to unfriendly position of certain CSTO states towards Armenia, Nikolay Bordyuzha said there was no harsh criticism.
“Such issues always arise, including when a state is not acting with full synchronization of its actions on global and regional matters. The Council of Heads of States in a narrow format is held to discuss the concerns of its partners,” he said.
Nikolay Bordyuzha is convinced that it is normal practice for states belonging to the same political and military block. He believes this is absolutely friendly criticism, and discussion of such issues should not be taken as serious criticism or unfriendly and hostile position.
