Israeli defense ministry officers and “Elbit Systems” concern representatives informed about supply of 170 tanks to Turkey fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including turbo engines, Kursor.co.il reports.

The $700m deal was closed in March, 2002. Due to end of the projects, a solemn meeting was held in Turkish Kayseri city, attended by Turkish Defense Minister and Director General of Israeli Ministry of Defense Udi Shani.

M60A1 tanks were delivered to Turkey this week closing a joint project of Turkish defense ministry, “Elbit Systems” concern and Israeli aerospace industry.
