Baku and Ankara reached an accord on transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe through Turkey, Turkish media report referring to Energy Minister Taner Yildiz.
Not disclosing details, he informed that the agreement was reached regarding all issues. The thread of the discussion was gas rate in the Stage 1, rate and volume for Stage 2 of Shah Deniz project, as well as transportation issues. On all of them the essential agreement is reached.
According to the minister, the talks are underway that is why details are not available yet. Meanwhile, under the accord for the gas received in May, 2009 Turkish side will pay higher price instead of previous USD120 for 1000m3, while the difference in rates till April 2008 will be paid out to Azerbaijani side.
