The high migration rates this January-September are not just indicators of migration pertinent to national security, Zoya Tadevosyan, a member of the RA Central Electoral Commission, told journalists.
According to her, the migration rates are the best evidence of the current situation. “A person does not feel attached to his or her Homeland any more and leaves it. However, the human capital is the most valuable thing Armenia has. Twenty-five thousand families have left our country over the recent months never to come back. This is the reason for the Armenian Premier’s statements that the transfers from abroad have increased. So let us send all Armenians – or at least one million – abroad. Transfers will increase four-, ten- or 100-fold,” Tadevosyan said with indignation.
“A person must have civic consciousness and realize he is mater of his land. He must struggle for a worthy state rather than flee this country,” she said.
