YEREVAN. - The delegation of the U.S. Kansas state led by Brigadier General and Kansas Adjutant General Lee Tafanelli has arrived in Armenia to take part in the events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Armenian Armed Forces. 

Armenian Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan received Mr Tafanelli on Friday. At the meeting, the Defense Minister lauded the nearly 1.5 decade-long cooperation between the Armenian Armed Forces and Kansas National Guard within the framework of the State Partnership Program.

The sides also referred to the programs implemented on the sidelines of the cooperation, expressing readiness to further deepen and develop their collaboration.

The delegation will on Saturday visit Yerablur military pantheon to pay tribute to the Armenian servicemen who fell defending their homeland. Apart from this, they will attend the events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Armenian Armed Forces.

Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Movses Hakobyan will also receive the delegation.
