YEREVAN. - A reception dedicated to the International Francophonie Day was held at UNESCO headquarters on Monday.

The event was held through the efforts of a group of Francophonie states, whose active member Armenia is.

The reception was attended by Armenian Ambassador to France Vigen Chitechyan, Permanent Representative to the International Organisation of La Francophnie (OIF), Ambassador Christian Ter-Stepanyan, high-ranking officials of UNESCO and OIF, heads and members of the diplomatic missions accredited in France and UNESCO, social and political figures, journalists and hundreds of guests.

Lavash orchestra led by French Armenian musician Sevan Stepanyan performed at the event. 

On the same day, degustation of traditional dishes of Francophon countries was organized, during which the Friends of Armenian Embassy Union offered traditional Armenian dishes to the guests.
