YEREVAN. - These elections were a victory for our society and all the political forces.

Deputy Chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Armen Ashotyan, said the aforementioned at a briefing held at RPA central headquarters Sunday.

In his words, the process and campaign of these elections showed that the wish to build a more democratic Armenia through constitutional amendments can be realized. “Today’s elections are the victory of united consolidated political efforts and civil duty,” he said.

Ashotyan also added that the representatives of the party headquarters are satisfied with the process of the elections based on the information available, which describes the quality of the elections. Apart from this, they are satisfied with the work of state bodies. Furthermore, the RPA Deputy Chairman added that during the elections all the political forces expressed restraint.

Moreover, Ashotyan stressed that the vote counting will be carried out as transparently, objectively, freely and availably as the election process per se.
