Russia is an active participant in the Karabakh conflict settlement, Novoe Vremya newspaper  reported quoting Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“Together with the U.S., France and other OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, we help the parties to reach a sustainable solution to the conflict. The trilateral summit held in St. Petersburg last summer on the initiative of the Russian president was devoted to solving this problem. The Karabakh issue is also discussed in details during bilateral meetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as during numerous talks between the foreign ministers. We manage to come to an agreement on many things, but there are several questions, although the most difficult ones. However, it is obvious that the results of the work depend first of all on political will of the parties, on their willingness to show flexibility and to make compromises,” said Lavrov.
