Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory telegram to his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of the victory of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) in the parliamentary elections.

“The results of national voting fully confirmed the high confidence, which personally you and the party headed by you enjoy among the Armenia citizens. This is also the recognition of your merits in solving pressing tasks of socioeconomic development and protection of the national interests of Armenia.

I am confident that the activity of the National Assembly in its new composition will contribute to the further strengthening of friendly, ally relations existing between our countries,” the telegram reads, in part.

President Putin also wished new success to Sargsyan, as well as wellbeing and prosperity to the brotherly Armenian people.
