The ongoing demining along Turkey’s borders with Armenia, Iran, and Nakhichevan has enabled new job opportunities for the residents of the Turkish villages along the border with Armenia.
A company from South Africa has been entrusted to carry out these EU- and UN-assisted demining activities, reported Memurlar.net (civil servants) website of the country. But the company has also hired 80 residents from local villages.
