YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan is against the mechanisms to investigate incidents, so as not to allow the three OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, or other participants of the [Karabakh peace] process, to specifically mention who violated the ceasefire.
Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian on Tuesday stated the above-said during his joint news conference with Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Lamberto Zannier, who is paying a visit to capital city Yerevan.
Also, the Armenian FM noted that although the Minsk Group co-chairs’ latest statement was addressed to Azerbaijan, this was not the first targeted statement. Nalbandian recalled that the co-chairs had called for not to exacerbate the situation in the region, in the past as well.
“And even if the statements were not directly addressed, it was clear to whom they were addressed,” said the FM.
He added that even though there have been many statements, Azerbaijan not only disregards them, but it does the opposite.
“The time is coming when the co-chairs should not only make statements, but take concrete actions to put an end to the destructive actions of Azerbaijan,” noted Edward Nalbandian.
