YEREVAN. – The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia, Suren Karayan, visited the Amulsar Gold Project mining site, to get familiarized with several development projects being implemented by the Lydian Armenia company.

Also, Karayan and the company management discussed the investment program, the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments informed NEWS.am. The minister reaffirmed the Armenian the government’s readiness to promote international investment. 

Lydian Armenia Managing Director Hayk Aloyan, for his part, noted that the first extraction of gold will take place next spring.

Furthermore, Karayan was briefed on the details of the environmental management of the Amulsar Gold Project. In addition, the minister got

acquainted with the new business programs that have kicked off in surrounding communities, and thanks to the aforesaid project.
