Relatives of Aida Uzunyan, 20, who was found dead under Tumas bridge in Akhakalaki town of Georgia’s Javakheti province, don’t believe the girl committed suicide.

One of the girl’s relatives, Ms N, told Armenian News – NEWS.am that they are sure that the girl didn’t commit suicide but was killed. However, the relatives don’t know who could kill the girl and for what reasons.

“Our child had no reason to commit suicide. We are sure that she was killed. The law enforcement authorities came and—without properly studying the case— stated that it was a suicide,” Ms N said.

Before being found dead, Aida Uzunyan went missing. She was buried on Friday. A criminal case has been launched into the girl’s death under the article on incitement to suicide.
