YEREVAN. - Criminal case has been launched into the death of 13-year old boy, who fell off Yerevan’s Davtashen bridge.

The report on the incident was received at 7:25 pm on May 25, the press service of the Investigative Committee reports.

The investigation revealed that the boy headed for Hrazdan Gorge along with two of his friends at about 5:00 pm. They went to Davtashen bridge afterwards. The boy climbed the metallic constructions on the bridge and fell off them.

It was also established that a police guard is on duty near the bridge. Although the boy was on the construction for a long time, played there and then lost balance and fell down, the police didn’t take any action. Therefore, a criminal case has been launched under Article 315(2) of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
