The average monthly salary in Armenia as of Jan.-Aug. 2009, totaled AMD 99 061, that is 12.3% more than that in 2008, RA National Statistical Service reports.

In state-financed organizations the average monthly salary made AMD 82 026, that is by 18.2% higher compared to the same period in 2008. However, by contrast to June 2009, the salary rate in July reduced by 9%.

In non-budgetary organizations, average monthly salary reached AMD 123 620, which is 7.3% higher than the same period of 2008. As compared to July this year, this indicator in August reduced by 5.1%. Conversely, August general average monthly salary rate compared to July 2009, reduced by 7% (U.S. $1=AMD 381.52).
