Armenian PM participated in the work of a regular meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States that is held in Dushanbe.
On the margins of the summit, he held separate meetings with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Prime Minister Pashinyan also exchanged a few words with Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev. In a message posted on Facebook several hours later, Pashinyan said he would inform about the details of the conversation upon his arrival to Yerevan.
Armenian PM and Russian president briefly talked during the summit. As mentioned by the Kremlin spokesperson, they did not touch upon Putin’s visit to Armenia.
The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group cautioned Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers about the dangers of escalation and called on the parties to engage constructively in a positive atmosphere, and to avoid inflammatory rhetoric.
The statement issued by the co-chairs after their meetings in New York says the Ministers confirmed the importance of taking measures to intensify the negotiation process and to take additional steps to reduce tensions. The Ministers agreed to meet again before the end of the year.
The co-chairs will visit the region soon.
The second supermarket of the French Carrefour hypermarket chain will open in Yerevan, French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte said at a press conference on Friday.
The supermarket will open its doors during the days of the 17th summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie—and which Armenia’s capital city will host in October.
A young Armenian woman and her four family members have moved into a church in the Netherlands in a bid to avoid being deported back to their home country.
