YEREVAN. – The second supermarket of the French Carrefour hypermarket chain will open in Yerevan, French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte said at a press conference on Friday.

The supermarket will open its doors during the days of the 17th summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie—and which Armenia’s capital city will host in October.

“Thanks to the business forum, we hope that French investments in Armenia will grow,” the ambassador added. “French investors not only bring investments, but also education, ethics, public duty. Thanks to the events of 2018 [in Armenia], we hope that French investments in Armenia will grow.”

Also, Lacôte pointed to tourism as a promising industry in Armenia.
