Former Secretary of the National Security Council, Chief of Staff of the Armenian Second President Armen Gevorgyan has filed a lawsuit against My step MP Arusyak Zulhakyan and lawyer Mushegh Shushanyan. Gevorgyan's representative, lawyer Alexander Kochubayev told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The basis for submitting the application was the public statements made by Arusyak Zulhakyan and Mushegh Shushanyan after the ECHR ruling in the case of Armenia.

During a press conference on August 7, lawyer Mushegh Shushanyan stated that there is clear information that it was Robert Kocharyan's chief of staff who was involved in the corruption process.

As for Arusyak Zulhakyan, referring to the mass deportations of citizens, bribery, and anti-constitutional decisions by the government, all this was done under the coordination of Presidential Administration Armen Gevorgyan.

The events that have been the subject of civil dispute refer to the period of Armen Gevorgyan's appointment as the second chief of staff of the Armenian second president Robert Kocharyan. According to the lawyer, the statements made by the deputy and the lawyer contain insult and defamation, as well as violating the presumption of innocence of his client.

Thus, the plaintiff requests the court to record the violation of Armen Gevorgyan's presumption of innocence, to oblige the respondent to deny the information considered insulting and defamatory, to apologize publicly and to award damages.

The court received the appeal on September 2, the case was signed by Yerevan City Court Judge Arthur Stepanyan.
