A surgeon-urologist-oncologist, head of the department of urology at one of the city hospitals in Moscow, candidate of medical sciences Hovhannes Dilanyan wrote a Facebook post referring to Armenian health minister’s Arsen Torosyan’s ‘destructive’ activity for the Armenian medicine.

“Dear Nikol Pashinyan! You have always adhered to the point of view that in strategic matters it is worthless to adhere to kinship or friendship ties, and you have criticized the previous government for this. I also adhere to such an approach and for many years, knowing Arsen Torosyan and having friendly relations with him, I have to go against his destructive policy,” he noted. “Medicine is not an area where drastic reforms or replacing well-deserved doctors with young ones are generally possible.”

“Dear Nikol Pashinyan. As a protest against the unconstructive policy of the health minister, I cancel the school of laparoscopic urology planned this year and my participation in the Annual Congress of the Armenian Association of Urology. I ask you to pay close attention to the destructive activity of the Minister of Health for Armenian medicine,” he added.
