Armenian police arrested a woman in the yard of the Constitutional Court while the other woman was summoned to the police. Police said they were detained for failing to comply with a lawful police request. A woman summonted to the police told that the detained woman kicked her head while she was drinking water.

As reported earlier, the Constitutional Court of Armenia on Tuesday began considering—by a written procedure—the petitions by second President Robert Kocharyan, the key defendant in the criminal case into the tragic events that occurred in Yerevan, in March 2008.

Kocharyan has asked the high court to consider the constitutionality of the two articles of the Criminal Procedure Code, and with respect to the grounds for applying pretrial measure, and the circumstances that rule out the proceedings of the criminal case or the criminal prosecution against him.

Armenian second President Robert Kocharyan’s supporters and those who are against him are in the yard of the Constitutional Court.
