Head of the State Supervision Service Davit Sanasaryan, whose powers are temporarily terminated, has posted a comment on his Facebook page, informing that he and his attorneys have decided to petition to end the criminal prosecution against him.

The comment reads as follows:

“Dear friends,

I would like to inform you that, after examining the materials of the criminal case, my attorneys and I have decided to file a petition to end the criminal prosecution against me and cite all the materials that already exist in the criminal case.

After preliminary investigation body and the Prosecutor General’s Office consider the petition, we will give a news conference and answer all questions.

At the same time, being confident that the majority of the public is certain that I am impartial, sincere and of principle, for those who are under the influence of rumors spread through the mass media and on Facebook, I would like to tell you that there is no such information, including operational data in the materials of the criminal case.

I am attaching the results of the operational measures that the Department for Economic Security and Corruption Counterinfluence of the National Security Service took under the instruction of the Investigation Body of the National Security Service.

Justice will definitely be restored.”
