An Armenian consulate will open in Israel, and Armenian MFA is actively working to ensure that an Israeli embassy appears in Yerevan, said Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan during the meeting of the Permanent Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations on Thursday.

According to the Minister, this year a fairly fruitful activity was carried out between Israel and Armenia and there are serious bases for the development of further cooperation between the two states.

“We are actively working to expand our diplomatic presence in the world,” he said. “We have a clear idea of how our diplomatic presence in the world should be developed,” Mnatsakanyan noted.

The head of the Armenian MFA added that Yerevan also intends to strengthen its position in Southeast Asia.
