The Estonian government has declared an emergency state until May 1 amid the coronavirus outbreak, ERR reported.

The state of emergency also applies to school and cultural life, as well as shipping trips. All social events are prohibited.

Starting March 16, educational institutions switch to distance learning, schools or hobby groups stop working, and workouts are canceled.

Museums and cinema are closed until May 1, and theater performances, concerts, and conferences are canceled. Sports are prohibited until May 1. There is a ban on visits in institutions of social care, hospitals and places of detention.
