The Parliament of Bulgaria has unanimously voted for declaring a state of emergency until April 13 in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus after the country reported 23 cases, reports Reuters.

The state of emergency will help ban trips to and arrivals from countries with major outbreaks of coronavirus, as well as close schools and universities and authorize the police to interfere in case of violation of quarantine.

The government is also planning on reviewing the 2020 State Budget to provide more funding to support the healthcare system.
