The City Council of Madrid has decided to cancel all holidays until November, reports RIA Novosti.
According to Deputy Mayor Begoña Villacis, the saved money (EUR 4,100,000) will be provided for social assistance.
“We don’t know how long this situation will continue. We’re certain that the city will celebrate holidays again, but not during the next couple of months,” the deputy mayor said.
