YEREVAN. – The seismological network of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia on Sunday recorded a magnitude-2.8 earthquake at Armenia-Nakhchivan border zone, at 3:27pm local time, 12 km southeast of Yelpin village of Armenia’s Vayots Dzor Province, and 10 km beneath the surface, the MES reported.
The tremor measured magnitude 3 to 4 at the epicenter.
The seismic activity was felt in Rind, Yelpin, Chiva, and Areni villages of Vayots Dzor—with magnitude 3.
