By the decision of acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Ararat Tumanyan has been appointed acting mayor of Meghri city of Syunik Province of Armenia.
On July 7, Mkhitar Zakaryan had resigned from the post of Mayor of Meghri, and he was detained on July 12. On the same day, the court considered Zakaryan's detention as illegal, but he was placed under arrest for two months.
