The Armenian National Congress (ANC) is the only consolidated political force able to unite thousands of people, ANC Coordinator Levon Zurabyan told a press conference, commenting on the present public and political crisis in Armenia.

“None of the other political forces has potential for shaping public opinion similar to ours. The Armenian National congress is now a mouthpiece of the majority, and no force in the Armenian Parliament has such power. What does it mean? We do not any longer speak of the rigged presidential election. It means that the present alignment of forces within the political Establishment does not meet the public demand. I do not know a more accurate definition of political crisis,” Zurabyan said.

According to him, this is the reason for the authorities being unable to government country. “There is no ruling over the country with clubs of army and police, violence and pressure. They are thus leading the country to a disaster,” Zurabyan said. Citing an example, he pointed out that the authorities ordered TV channels not to cover his press conference.
