At his meeting with Iranian Deputy Minister of Energy Mohammad Behzad in Yerevan, RA Minister of Energy Armen Movsisyan pointed out great potential of bilateral relations and declared for expanding bilateral cooperation, the IRNA News Agency reported.

Minister Movsisyan pointed out the necessity for establishing cooperation in other fields.

During Mr. Behzad’s visit to Armenia, the sides signed two agreements, particularly an agreement on the construction of a third high-voltage line and one on the construction of a hydro-power plant and a dam on the Araks River.

The Sunir Company (Iran) will construct the high-voltage line. The construction will last for two years.

Mohammad Behzad, who is a member of a delegation representing Iranian state-run and private energy companies, held meetings are the RA Ministry of Energy. The sides pointed out the necessity for expanding the Armenian-Iranian relations.
