The intensified negotiations over Nagorno-Karabakh have enhanced hopes for the resolution of the conflict, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said in an interview with EcoVision, the official magazine of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Association, Trend reports.

According to him, Ankara wants concrete results within a short period and a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

“Turkey has always supported the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen in the negotiations for a peaceful settlement. It closely observes the progress of negotiations and repeatedly states about its desire to achieve concrete results within a short period of time,” Trend quotes Turkish FM.

According to him, the Armenia-Turkey reconciliation should be regarded as part of the process aimed at establishing long-lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

“The transformation of the South Caucasus into a zone of cooperation and security, elimination of conflicts in this region are necessary to ensure good future and prosperity of countries. Creating an environment would be useful not only for Armenia, but also all countries in the region,” Davutoglu stated.
