YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Zhoghovurd daily has learned details from the closed meeting of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the [ruling majority] CC [“Civil Contract”] faction [of parliament] yesterday.
We learned that during the meeting, the prime minister presented details from his visit to Brussels last week. He told the faction what meetings he had there, what he talked about, and what to expect.
According to our sources, Pashinyan considers that visit effective, as they were able to reach concrete agreements, the vivid proof of which was the return of [ten] Armenian prisoners of war [from Azerbaijan] after that.
Pashinyan mainly spoke at yesterday's closed meeting, and several CC MPs asked the prime minister questions about the expectations expected after the meeting.
By the way, according to our sources, there was no reference to the "dethronement" of the [now] former mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, as, according to our CC sources, the "Hayko topic" is already "closed" in the team. There is a new mayor, with whom Nikol Pashinyan met yesterday.
