Azerbaijani State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed roughly 170 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, Trend informs referring to the Ministry, Oct 26. The monitoring was held in Baku and Ganja cities of Azerbaijan. The expired food products include sausages, confectionery products, vegetable oils, natural juices, beer, milk and milk products, mayonnaise, and more.
"Protocols on administrative violations have been complied on enterprise and individuals. Generally, after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and supplements to the Code of Administrative Violations, as of May 17, 2009 fifty-three enterprises have been fined as much as at 199,200 manats and 524 individuals — 783,000 manats.
According to the source, the monitoring is underway. To date, the official exchange rate is $1/0.8031 manat.
