For us, the Crossroads of Peace is first of all an economic project whose beneficiary is not only Armenia, Armenia's neighbors, but the entire region, which includes the Middle East, European countries, and western Asian countries. This was stated by economy minister Gevorg Papoyan, speaking with reporters after the cabinet session of the Armenian government Thursday.

"This is a big project, which shall create unique, unhindered, fast transport, economic connections between the North and the South, the West and the East. Many countries are the beneficiaries of the success of the process. This is also the reason why many countries have welcomed this initiative of the Armenian government," added Papoyan.

And to the question as to why Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Russia do not react to this project, Armenia's economy minister responded: "I can't say, but those countries are also the beneficiaries of this process."
