The regular mutual visits of high-ranking representatives of Armenia and Georgia, the annual regular sessions of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation are evidence of the friendship of our countries, the growth of the existing amount of cooperation, and the rich agenda formed jointly. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a joint press conference with his visiting Georgian colleague, Irakli Kobakhidze, in Yerevan Thursday.

"The establishment of a strategic partnership between our countries last year has only added to the interstate relations of Armenia and Georgia. I am confident that with the joint efforts of our governments and without any restrictions, we will continue to deepen mutually beneficial and multi-sectoral cooperation.

Our commission today discussed in detail the current programs and new prospects for cooperation between Armenia and Georgia in the economy, transport link and communications, energy, tourism, agriculture, the environment, health care, culture, education, science, and a number of other domains.

I must state that the cooperative and warm attitude of our brotherly countries is anchored on very concrete and solid realities,” Pashinyan said.

According to him, Armenia and Georgia mutually and unequivocally respect each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

“Our countries treat their positions and priorities on various matters with the respect and care that befits strategic partners, striving not only to avoid harm, but also to provide maximum support in advancing each other's interests.

It is no less important that the societies of our countries share numerous value-system, cultural, and even everyday traditions, which make the friendship of our countries inviolable.

One of the important components of our rich dialogue is economic cooperation and strengthening the interdependence of the two countries, including by introducing mutually necessary facilitations.

Our Georgian colleagues have been informed that Armenia is interested in the unblocking and full resumption of regional economic infrastructure, which should take place within the framework of full respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and inviolability of borders of all countries. In this context, I have emphasized the importance of implementing the Crossroads of Peace project presented by the Armenian government, which promises very concrete and tangible prospects for Armenia, Georgia, and other countries in our common region," the Armenian PM stated.
