Israel cannot act as it wants dealing with the issue of Armenian Genocide recognition, said Alexander Goldenstein, deputy chief editor of IzRus.co.il portal.

He commented for Armenian News-NEWS.am on speculations in the Israeli press regarding the bill on Armenian Genocide adopted by French parliament.

“France did as it wanted. We cannot do so, there is much pressure from all the sides. All are interested what Turkey will do. France is not Israel,” he said.

France’s National Assembly passed on Thursday the bill criminalizing the Armenian Genocide denial.
