YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia was quick to correct its well-known decision on December 15, that is, on providing three bottles of vegetable oil to each socially disadvantaged family, in connection with the New Year, Zhoghovurd daily writes.    

“Until yesterday [Friday], it was written in the Government’s program that in 2009 Russia had supplied [cooking] oil to Armenia as humanitarian assistance. And once the oil was put up for sale but was not sold, they decided to distribute it to the poor. But to cover up the fact that the oil—which was supplied three years ago—was expired, they will make changes in the Government’s decision, and write there that the vegetable was supplied in 2010. If until then they were claiming that not the oil but rather the document was expired, now it turns out that both of them are not expired. Too bad, however, that hardly anyone will believe in this,” Zhoghovurd writes.
