Turkey would respect Israel more if Tel-Aviv recognized the Armenian Genocide, said Georgette Avakian, member of the Hay Dat (Armenian Cause) Jerusalem office.

Speaking at the debate on the Armenian Genocide in Israel’s Knesset, she said by recognizing the Genocide Israel would have displayed its independence and force, IzRus reported.

Georgette Avakian expressed hope Israel would recognize the Genocide for her to be proud of her country – Israel.

Knesset’s committee on education, culture and sport held a debate on Armenian Genocide recognition on Monday.
