YEREVAN. – Armenian-Russian bilateral consultations were held, at Russian MFA on December 23, during which security issues were discussed.

The parties examined export control, and specifically reflected on carrying out a more effective cooperation within international organizations. They also gave a special attention to the possible joint steps toward the implementation of Resolution 1540 of UN Security Council.     

In addition, the parties comprehensively looked into the Conventional Forces Europe (CFE) Treaty and its implementation prospects.  

They also presented their views with respect to holding talks on the Arms Trade Treaty and creating a missile defense system in Europe, MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
