YEREVAN. – Walt Secord, Member of the Legislative Council of the parliament of the Australian state of New South Wales, will visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial, in Armenia’s capital Yerevan, on Wednesday, and place a wreath in memory of the Genocide’s 1.5 million victims. Secord will also tour the Armenian Genocide Museum.  

Walt Secord was elected MP in March 2011, and, during his inaugural speech, he spoke about the Armenian Genocide issue. He was elected deputy co-chair of the Armenia-Australia Parliamentary Friendship Group.    

Secord arrived in Armenia on December 25. He headed to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), on Monday, where he was received by NKR National Assembly (NA) Speaker, Ashot Ghulyan.

And on Wednesday, Walt Secord will be received by Armenian NA Deputy Speaker, Eduard Sharmazanov, parliamentary opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party’s press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
