YEREVAN. – There is a great desire to carry out radical reforms in Armenia, but it is not easy because of resistance, Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on the International Monetary Fund’s recent statement, whereby Armenia’s authorities are called to register a breakthrough in reforms.  

As per Davtyan, unprecedented reforms were carried out in the passing year, but, those agencies, whose powers were curtailed as a result of reforms, are not much enthused by those reforms.   

And as a result of these reforms, Armenia went up by six points in the “Doing Business” rating.
