YEREVAN. - Armenia still maintains strongest military positions in the region, but that military advantage does not endanger anyone, Regional Studies Center Director Richard Giragosian stated during a press conference on Tuesday, adding, however, that the same cannot be said about Georgia and Azerbaijan.   

“Armenia continues to remain as the most reliable partner for the West and Russia alike,” he said. 

And maintaining that the incidents and killings in the Armenian army cause a very serious concern, “this is a matter of discipline in the armed forces. All officials must be accountable and be punished for such incidents,” Richard Giragosian argued, adding this is most important when considering Azerbaijan’s military threats.
