YEREVAN. – Armenian former parliament speaker, head of the ruling Republican Party election staff Hovik Abrahamyan thinks that coalition member Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will not win in the parliamentary elections, he told the journalists on Tuesday. Regarding the possibility of the joint Republican and PAP list, he said that nothing should be excluded in politics. He is sure that it will be clear for the public in the near future. 

According to Abrahamyan, Republican Party is currently busy with preparation works for the 2012 elections.

In response whether Abrahamyan is possible to stand for by the majoritarian electoral system, he said that party will decide on his candidacy. However, no discussions were held on the issue. Abrahamyan spoke also on the incumbent Speaker Samvel Nikoyan’s statement regarding previous violations.  He added that he excludes the possibility that Nikoyan has made such a statement. Moreover, there have been no violations before.

As for what Abrahamyan would like to receive for the New Year and where he is going to be in New Year Eve, he said that he has not decided where to go, while he would like enough power and will in the New Year.
