YEREVAN. – Parliament Assembly of Council of Europe will hold winter session on Jan 23-27 and is clearly directed to human rights, Armenian delegation member at PACE Naira Zohrabyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to her, all the projects referring to human rights are included in the January agenda.
“Our delegation has a lot to do. Management of Committee of Ministers passes to the UK, hence, PM and FM of the state will make speeches and I have questions to both of them,” she said. “I hope the new PACE head Jean-Claude Mignon will return the organization its basic values. The double standards and bias, which we experienced during Mevlüt Çavusoglu’s office, will become a history.”
According to the MP, Commissioner for Human Rights at PACE Thomas Hammarberg’s time also is expiring, and the PACE will elect a new commissioner during the session.
