U.S. President Barack Obama dismissed head of White House Chief of Staff William Daley ahead of pre-election year.
He will be replaced by budget director Jack Lew.
Obama expressed gratitude to Daley for his work and friendship promising to call him for advice, RIA Novosti reports.
