Turkish President Abdullah Gul’s term will expire in 2014.
Constitutional committee of the Turkish Parliament decided on Tuesday that the current President will serve seven years and will not be able to be reelected, Milliyet newspaper reported.
Other amendments will follow to make voters, not the Parliament, elect the president.
