YEREVAN. – During Thursday’s briefing with news reporters, Armenia’s Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan reflected on the dismissal of Police Colonel Norayr Muradkhanyan, now former Chief of Police Force Passport and Visa Department.

“Who says Muradkhanyan is dismissed. He is at the disposal of the reserves. This means he receives a salary, he works. This means a rotation. The man did not go on a vacation for seventeen years; let him relax for two months,” Gasparyan stated.    

As per Armenia’s Police Chief, “normal” workers can also be sent to the personnel reserve. Gasparyan also promised that no useful and normal officer will be removed from the Police Force.   

To note, Vladimir Gasparyan relieved Norayr Muradkhanyan from his duties, and sent him to personnel reserve. And in an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am, Muradkhanyan noted that this decision was a surprise for him.
