MINSK. - Belarus is ready to intensify cooperation with Armenia not only on trade-economic relations but also within international organizations, including CSTO, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.

Belarus leader met with the Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan in Minsk.

“We are included in the same military-political union-CSTO. We are ready to discuss any topic regarding bilateral cooperation,” Lukashenko said adding tat it is necessary to intensify Belarusian-Armenian cooperation in the field of trade as the bilateral trade turnover had decreased by one third.

The President told that Armenian side has offered expanding trade-economic relations with Belarus, in particular, delivering goods of agricultural machinery, food. He sees no obstacle to implementation of the proposal.

In his turn, Secretary Baghdasaryan said that Belarus is an ally and strategic partner of Armenia.

 “We are ready to develop our trade relations and cooperation within CSTO,” Baghdasaryan added, Interfax reports.
